The Reason I Chose to Do the Work
For years, I’ve been doing the work, growing, learning, evolving.
But I never fully understood why.
Until recently.
As my children grow, I watch them begin to navigate life in their own ways.
From the smallest challenges…
To the bigger, more defining moments…
Each experience shaping who they are becoming.
And it hit me:
This is why I do the work.
Not just for me, but for them.
I have the privilege of raising two human beings.
Of being a safe place.
A guide.
A role model.
And whether I realize it or not, they are always watching.
They’ve witnessed my strength.
My determination.
My growth.
They’ve also seen the hard moments. The ones that require patience, honesty, and humility.
And everything I’ve learned… I’ve poured into them.
I listen.
I support.
I guide when needed and step back when it matters.
And now, I’m starting to see it come full circle.
The work is giving back in ways I never expected.
If I can help them grow into the best versions of themselves…
If I can show them that self-love isn’t optional, it’s essential…
If they learn that they are worthy of their own belief and admiration…
Then I’ve done what I came here to do.
This is what mindful living looks like in real life.
Small choices.
Daily awareness.
Simple shifts that create lasting change.
